You can book me for private group workshops for yoga or creative movement practice, or join one of my regular public yoga workshops in London.

90mins. discussion and practice

online | live zoom and recording sent | £15

Return to your practice and yourself each month with an extended yoga practice in community. We’ll land with an embodied check-in, followed by an exploration of the season's themes, grounded in yoga philosophy. There will be a chance to set intentions for the month ahead, which can then inform that day’s yoga asana and meditation practice. Each month will offer a unique balance of movement and stillness, in line with the season. The emphasis is on embodiment over athleticism, on autonomy over uniformity of practice, with options for all levels of prior experience. Each month, we'll close with a final circle to check in, share any takeaways and reflect.

This session provides a monthly touchstone for you to return to and stay more present with your inner life, goals, habits and values throughout the year.

ease into the equinox: autumn rest-shop

2 hours | £35

Open yourself to deep relaxation and resist all the pressure to *DO* with this soothing rest-shop. Like a workshop, but with zero "work", this extended session is designed to revive your nervous system and ready you for the season ahead after a proper rest.

We’ll begin with a gentle check-in and open up a discussion around our resistance to rest. This arrival will be followed by optional breathwork and nervous system regulation techniques, allowing you to find a greater sense of calm embodiment. Next, drop into longer-held, static poses: starting with peaceful yin yoga stretches, then transitioning to restorative yoga with a focus on ultimate comfort. Finally, I’ll guide you through a calming nidra-style meditation, a form of deep rest that will help restore both body and mind, leaving you refreshed and revitalised for the season ahead.

This was my first “rest-shop” and it truly lived up to it’s billing. I found it to be a deeply beneficial relaxing class both physically and mentally. It was a small group and lovely to have some discussion points prior to the embarking on the poses. It helped crystalise why I had chosen to be there ; to equip myself better to deal with life’s day to day challenges. I find Sophia to be a nurturing and realistic teacher.

about private workshops

artsmark in schools

As a registered Artsmark Partner, Kinaesthetic is thrilled to bring these workshops to schools and other educational settings.

These workshops for students are most effective for groups in Key Stage 4 and above, though they can be adapted for younger age groups as well.

I work with schools to equip young people with tools to express themselves from a place of grounded, embodied confidence. With increased time spent on screens, many young people struggle with in-person communication and feeling comfortable in their own bodies. That’s where these sessions come in.

Especially for students nearing graduation, the ability to represent and advocate for oneself, communicate clearly and build interpersonal emotional intelligence is crucial. I want to empower students to leave school feeling grounded, aware and confident in their bodies.

Kinaesthetic is proud to be working in partnership with schools and settings on their Artsmark Award journey. By supporting Artsmark settings, we’re helping put the arts at the heart of education, inspiring young people to create, experience and participate in high quality arts and culture.
