Payment & Cancellation Policy

Payment Terms:

Payment can be made via bank transfer or debit/credit card. A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to secure your place on the retreat. The remaining balance is due by 1st March 2027, or on an alternative date agreed upon in writing. If the outstanding balance is not received by the agreed date, I reserve the right to cancel your reservation and offer your place to another guest. If you anticipate difficulty meeting this deadline, please contact me immediately.

Non-Refundable Deposit:

The deposit paid to secure your booking is non-refundable under any circumstances, except in the event that the retreat is cancelled by me.

Host Cancellation:

In the unlikely event that I, Sophia Tupy, need to cancel the retreat, all monies paid, including your deposit, will be refunded in full. However, I cannot be held liable for any additional costs or losses incurred, such as travel expenses. I strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover such eventualities.

Participant Cancellation:

If you are unable to attend, please notify me as soon as possible via email. I will attempt to fill your place, and if successful, I will refund all payments made, excluding the deposit. If I am unable to fill your place, the following refund policy applies:

  • Before 1st March 2027 (or agreed date): Payments will be refunded in full, excluding the deposit.

  • After 1st March 2027 (or agreed date): No refund will be issued unless your space is filled.

Please note: No refunds will be given if you choose to or are asked to leave the retreat early, or if there are changes to the schedule (e.g., yoga class times or meal arrangements).

Terms & Conditions

Insurance

It is your responsibility to ensure you have comprehensive travel insurance covering all potential risks, including but not limited to yoga, other retreat activities, travel delays, cancellations, illness, and disruptions. I am not responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or theft of personal belongings.

Consumer Protection & Force Majeure

Under UK consumer law, you have the right to expect that the retreat will be delivered with reasonable care and skill. If any part of the retreat does not meet these expectations, you may be entitled to seek a remedy. However, this does not apply in cases of force majeure or unforeseen events beyond my control (e.g., pandemics, natural disasters, government restrictions). You acknowledge the risk of potential government restrictions or other force majeure events that may affect the retreat. I strongly recommend securing travel insurance that covers these risks.

Behaviour

I reserve the right to ask participants to leave the retreat if their behaviour is disruptive to the running of the retreat of other participants or staff. If you withdraw from the retreat at any time or if you are requested to leave due to disruptive behaviour, no part of the retreat fee shall be refunded. In the case of our decision to ask you to leave, all matters arising from a dispute are subject to English law and are subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

Waiver of Liability

By participating in yoga classes and workshops offered during the retreat, you acknowledge and accept the following:

  • Yoga involves physical exertion and may result in injury. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in these activities.

  • It is your responsibility to consult a physician prior to the retreat to ensure you are fit to participate. You warrant that you have no medical condition that would prevent your participation.

  • If you are pregnant, you accept full responsibility for both your health and that of your unborn child during the retreat.

  • You assume full responsibility for any injuries, risks, or damages incurred and waive any claims against Sophia Tupy for injury or damage.

  • You are responsible for the safekeeping of personal belongings, and we are not liable for any loss or damage to them.

  • By booking this retreat, you agree to release and hold harmless Sophia Tupy from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising from your participation in the retreat.

By booking this retreat, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
